concept "glass cube"
Almaks building is imagined as a freestanding house as a glass cube in which structure one can recognize two overlapping cubes – one dark grey and the other bright white. Functionally the house consists of business and housing zones where the majority of functions are in grey cube and just a highly public double-height area is emphasized through the white color of its cubic form.
Concept is defined through the play of two cubic, mainly glass boxes.
Together, the grey one dominant in its volume, and the white one dominant in its position form an inner central court shaping the space, not just the house.
The new identity radiate contemporary spirit and lightness of the structure, where business and housing are intertwined shaping a place for work, rest and living.
The concept distinct dominant north orientation for business and south-east orientation for housing.
